Gardening Life for Us

The garden is growing almost faster than we can manage. The herb garden exploded, and we currently have hundreds of cilantro seeds ripening for coriander.

The tomatoes are tall and many are flowering. We still don’t have all of them in cages, but we were able to get eight of them in cages this past weekend. They are almost too tall to disentangle.

Fun fact, when you plant soup beans, you get a mixture of bush and pole beans. Luckily, we have just enough homemade bean teepees to take care of the pole beans.

Most of the beans are flowering, including this ‘Purple Dove’ variety.

The zucchini plant is flowering and making baby zucchini.

Our first squash will be ready to eat in a few days.

We harvested the last of the onions and the first of the carrots.

We thank God for the summer rains that water our garden for us!
