Deck the Halls

It's that time of year when the days are shorter and the temperature drops. The time when everyone decorates their houses in beautiful (or tacky) twinkling lights. Christmas time is here! 

Sam and I traveled to a local Christmas Tree Farm in the city where he works and picked out our very own tree to cut down. 

Here's our tree! Isn't it beautiful?

Sam started cutting it down....

...then let me finish!!

We packed it on top of car and drove it home, where it sat undecorated in our house for over a week!

We finally got around to decorating it. Yay, tacky tree! 

We also lit up the trees on the edge of our property! It's a beautiful sight to drive home to after dark.

We put the advent wreath on the mantel this year. I think it turned out well!

 Aaaand it snowed a little this weekend. Flurried, really. 

It wasn't until our trip back from a wedding in Knoxville that the dogs got to play in their very first snow.
