Rylee: Three Months (and house projects...)

Rylee: Three Months (and house projects...)

First, a big thanks to all the family members coming over the next several weeks to watch Rylee so that I can graduate in May and so that Sam can work on house projects.

Nene (my grandmother) stayed with us for two weeks before taking a break to go to Florida. Sam's parent's traded places with her and came over to help us this past weekend. To stay sane, I take breaks on weekends to help with projects before returning to the 10-9 work schedule during the week.
Saturday was all about getting the garden fixed back up.

We borrowed a dump trailer from one of Sam's coworkers (thanks, Gene!) and Sam picked up mulch and wood chips for the garden. The boys shoveled the wood chips while Mom and I (and Rylee!) spread them out.

Rylee ended up getting fussy, so Mom took over the babysitting job. Look how cute they are!

She took pictures of us while we worked.

(learning to blow bubbles!)

I got to climb to the top of the dump trailer and take a picture of the finished inside of the garden

We have the melon pit covered with a tarp to kill all the grass and weeds. For the landscaping fabric you see along the edges of the garden, we covered that in mulch to make flower beds! Needless to say, we were all sore the next day, but it was worth it!

Rylee's learning to play in the floor by herself. She's also starting to try and roll over!

Sam and I picked the first spinach harvest of the year to put into pasta for dinner on Sunday.

Daddy snuggles!

Practicing walking with Mommy!

Papa Sam and Sam worked hard getting the house ready to paint, and Papa Sam refinished our front door. Thanks, Papa Sam! It looks amazing! I forgot to take a picture, but he put the door on sawhorses on the back deck under the pop-up tent and spent hours sanding away the worn out finish and staining the door. Here he is applying the poly.
