Endless Painting

Endless Painting

(Our redbud tree out back)

Painting, it seems, is a never ending process. At least, it seems that way to us. The taping, the cutting in (or trimming as we call it), the rolling, and just when you think you have finished, you find spots where you need to touch up. Sigh. Excluding said touching up, we have only one room left to paint!

The master bedroom. I couldn't get a picture that didn't make the walls look mint green. You are just going to have to trust me when I say they are NOT mine green, and the color is beautiful.

We painted the spare bedroom the same color.

The Master closet. Also a light green. The same color as the foyer, living room, hallway, and sunroom.

(looks yellow doesn't it? It's actually a light green)

The master bathroom we painted a light grey to match the tile.

The laundry room we painted a happy yellow. It's paler than it looks in the picture.

Rylee with her Pap Pap.

My parent's came to visit, and my dad was kind enough to put in a backsplash in the kitchen while they were here. The back splash looks AMAZING! It really updated the kitchen. Before.........

Cooking dinner.

What's in this cheese?

Our beautiful daughter!

Letting the chicks run around in the sunroom.
Egyptian Fayoumi (left) and Silver-laced Wyanodotte (right).

Easter Egger.

Showing Rylee the chicks!

Our deformed chick....Daphne.

Pretty feathers!

Dad burned a bunch of brush and junk behind the shed for us! Campfire smell is the best.

Fixed the poor St. Francis statue that the chickens broke. Thanks Aunt Caroline for the help!

Pippin found a new place to sleep. He tucked himself in.

One minute helping me with homework. The next...she was out!

Sam built a new brooder for our chicks. He thought of the design on the way to work. It's made out of 2.5 pieces of OSB and 6 2x4s. The walls are held together with ratchets instead of screws for easy assembly and disassembly so that it can be stacked up when not in use. The lid is a frame of 2x4s around porch screen that we found in the shed. It's HUGE (4 x 8 ft), and the chicks have much more room to run around. They love it.

Rylee's first ponytail!

Finally got a good picture of Merriwhether our Bantam Fluer d' Uccle hen.

The puppies! They wanted a picture with their favorite toys.

I finally finished updated the cuddle coop. There's so much more room in the run, now. Hopefully the next rooster we have won't hate it as much as Red did.

Pork carnitas.

Spinach and lettuce in the garden.

Apple banana bread on the sides with cinnamon bread in the middle. If this post wasn't so long, I'd give you the recipe for this bread. It's super tasty!
