Vacation in Clearwater, Florida

Vacation in Clearwater, Florida

There's not much to say except that we had a wonderful time in Florida! Yes, the drive was long. Yes, being pregnant and not being able to walk very far on vacation is annoying. But the views were great, the weather was great, the fresh fish was great, the family time (click here for a cute video) was great, and the ice cream was amazing.

Here's some highlights of our trip:

We set up the pop-up tent almost every day we were there, and it was wonderful! We split our time between relaxing under the shade and floating in the ocean!

Here's a view of the beach that we mainly went to during our trip. The beach wasn't crowded at all, which was wonderful.  Some days it seemed like we were almost out there by ourselves.

One morning, Sam and his sister Emily decided to go walk the beach just after sunrise. They found a bunch of shells, including sand dollars, and saw a lot of wild life. Though we didn't get any pictures of dolphins, we saw a ton of dolphins during our trip! We even saw a momma and baby dolphin within ten feet of the shoreline chasing after some fish!

The morning of their walk, Sam ended up walking all the way to Caladesi Island--a place normally only accessible by ferry or kayak (unless you walk really far). We spent the previous day at the beach on Caladesi, but we forgot to get pictures. Sam really wanted you all to see how beautiful that place is! It's one of his favorite spots in Clearwater. He ended up walking 6 miles that morning just to get you all pictures!

The sunsets there were beautiful! If you want to see how truly magical it was, click here!
